The Nanticoke River Watershed provides for wilderness canoe experiences in the heart of one of the "last great place on earth" The Chicamacomico Challenge is a weekend camping/canoeing program based out of Henson Scout Reservation. The trek begins at a public ramp and winds south westward toward the world renowned Wildlife refuge. Both nights of camping take place in secluded wilderness campsites. Water is placed in strategic locations along the challenge by camp staff. Canoes, transportation and water are included in the camp fee.

A week long High Adventure program run in the summer out of Henson Scout Reservation the Nanticoke Watershed Ecotour. This six day trip covers over 100 miles of Nanticoke Watershed wilderness. Beginning with a canoeing leg on the Marshyhope Creek and Nanticoke River and winding up with a 50 mile bicycle trip across beautiful Dorchester County from the Chesapeake Bay Foundation's Bishop's Head oyster research facility.
