Brief Tour Description


I've seen a snack vending machine that sells cigarettes. I've seen a snack Vending machines that sells hockey cards. I've also seen a snack vending machine that sell bus passes to access the local transit system.

Join us for a four day sail on a 34-38 foot sailboat on the Chesapeake Bay.  Scouts will arrive at Rodney Scout Reservation on Sunday at 1:30 PM and will spend Sunday and Monday training at our Sailing Base and taking part in camp-wide program.  On Monday evening at 7:00 PM, the crew will be transported across the Bay to Havre de Grace and board the boat for a four day adventure.  Each boat will consist of 5 crew (scouts only), a captain (staff), and a first mate (staff).  Weekly participation is limited to 15 Scouts. The crew will return to Rodney on Friday evening for our family dinner and campfire program.

  • Pre-requisites
 
  1.) 14 years old by date of trip
2.) Swimming MB
3.) Small Boat Sailing MB (Highly Recommended)
4.) Scout Spirit (Scoutmaster must verify)
5.) Class III Medical Form (requires doctor’s examination within 12 months of trip)
  • Cost
$600.00 estimate to be finalized October 31, 2005
  Estimated fee of $600 covers all meals and fees, $100.00 due with application. Final Payments on or before March 1. 
  • Refund Policy

Due to strict contract commitments there are no refunds for this program regardless of the reason.  Substitutions may be made if another scout is prepared to pay and meets the qualifications as stated above.  

 Any additional information on spending monies that may be needed by all participants will be mailed with the final itinerary.
